Goats + Weddings = Sign me up

Just like What I Wore is my favorite this-is-what-I-wore-today blog (no pun intended). FATSHIONABLE is my favorite plus size version of this-is-what-I-wore-today. For best decorating I'd flip a coin between Apartment Therapy and Design*Sponge. I could go on and on and on and on about craft/sewing/make blogs, but for weddings? Its always been Once Wed. Imagine my delight when the last two entries, A Farm Fresh Wedding and A Farm Fresh Wedding II, had pretty dresses, farms and goats! I still need to make it out to my coworkers to see her famous fainting goats. Goat love.

Dear China King,

Dear China King,

I graduated in 2005 from Longwood University with a B.A. in Business Administration with a concentration in marketing, minor in Spanish. May I give you a free sprinkling of marketing know how? If you want to encourage patronage and you accidently put "FREE DELIVERY" on your menus. Put a sticker of a panda or a bowl of rice, even a happy face over "FREE." The sharpie just says you are like my cheap date that made me pay for my own fast food.

Lots of love,

Sarah Elizabeth

Thx Thx Thx

For the past two weeks I have thoroughly enjoyed the almost tongue-in-cheek daily thank you notes from the desk of Leah Dieterich. Leah was taught by her mother to write thank you notes and you can enjoy them along with me on her blog Thx Thx Thx.

Baby, it's HOT outside.

Task part b.

Okay silly thing, NO TIGHTS because it is getting SO HOT already. Shave your legs and paint your toenails, cause here are my outfit suggestions for the cute little number:

Get a wrap instead of a sweater so it won't ruin the outfit if you get hot and have to take it off, or if you get cold and want to snuggle up in it. I suggest wrapping it around your neck in a loose circle for normal middlin' weather. This one available at Target for a mere $12.99.

This is also a dress that screams summer sandal. I suggest the pair on the right from Chadwick's. $40 isn't the same as the Target steal, but they look like good, sturdy summer shoes and they don't have any patent leather or strappy parts that will give you sandal blisters. If you can find a cheaper pair of strappy red sandals, I'd probably approve, though. i'm pretty much in support of all red sandals.

IF however, it is miraculously freezing out there in old Missouri, I would say navy blue tights and a different sort of sandal. Hide that reinforced toe and strap these suckers on. They're on sale at Victoria's Secret, and somehow they seem to go more with tights in my humble opinion. Then throw on this (also on sale) Torrid sweater and you are cute in any weather.

What I Wore

If I had a gun, the first place I would stick up is Jessica Schroeder's closet. Okay so maybe there is a less dramatic way of enjoying her fashion sense. Starting with her blog What I Wore. Though Jessica also has an amazing fiance, Adam, that takes her photos- Beautiful! I wonder if she started the relationship with a non-paying photography internship. From her website I found We Love Colors and they have ACTUAL plus size tights in 51 colors! I hope you enjoy Jessica as much as I do! P.s. Doesn't she make jumping look so fashionable?

Two Dress Task

Hello Darling Kathleen. I understand the story writing is the little engine that could. I got two fun dress tasks for ya!

First pastel flower prints are in this season. I've been trying to find a piece that speaks to me. But how about some vintage? The dress to the left was part of the fabric and notions that my Aunt sent me last spring. The dress was sewn by my Uncle's mother.

I am sending this in the mail to you. I want to see what kind of magic you can work on this accoutrement. Though if I may... I would love to see some lacy ankle socks worked into the
outfit. Be watching your mail!

Second dress task is to help me complete the outfit. Another recent Lane Bryant purchase (I got everything 50% off). Here is what I had in mind, a red cardigan, a belt, some type of red shoe and maybe a colored tight? I feel like that is my normal M.O. except for the colors, I would like a fresh perspective.

Love you Lots.

Dress Debut

New Lane Bryant Dress. Thoughts on the belt? It made me have Fem Bot boobies. It is amazingly comfortable and it was less than $30.

I hate camera self timer.

It takes me so much longer to get a good shot.

Maybe I should create a non-paying photo internship, no experience needed, all you need is ambition and a creative eye. We provide the camera and the subject (me!). Non-Union. Minorities encouraged to apply.

Summer of 2001

If anyone remembers the summer of 2001 was the Summer of the Shark attacks. There wasn't much going on in news land because I think there were no more shark attacks than normal. One weekend while staying at Boardman's parents in lovely Nags Head, SC, we swam out past the breakers (but did not watch the world die). Then me and Kathleen both realized we were going through THAT TIME OF THE MONTH and FREAKED out. Ever since then I like sending shark momentos every now and then to her. I thought of those mentos when I saw this dress from Jean-Charles De Castelbajac's Spring 2010 collection. Enjoy!

When Did I First Fall in Love with Christopher?

I think I first officially fell in love with Christopher Walken in 1995, when my mother let me rent The Prophecy. In it Christopher Walken plays Gabriel, the Arch angel, who is disgusted by humans and God's love of us "monkeys," as he calls it. I think at first I loved him because I played Gabriel in the 1st grade Church play, even though angels are supposedly neither male nor female, all the boys taunted me I was a boy. I had short short hair due to a run-in with Baskin Robbin's bubble gum ice cream.

1997 I loved his cool attitude in Suicide Kings. Though that year I was able to see Mouse Hunt in the theater as I waited for his R rated movies to drop on VHS. 1998 he reprised his role of Gabriel in The Prophecy II. Blast from the Past (1999) wasn't my favorite, but I saw it for Chris and as that year everyone saw Sleepy Hollow for Johnny Depp, I was there for my man. Lt. McDuff made my heart flutter in MacBeth parody Scottland, Pa (2001). 2001 was the year that I realized we were sole mates: Weapon of Choice by Fatboy Slim. The moment I saw him kick-ball-change, my puppy dog love eyes changed and watched the TV with a heated look of passion.

March 31st, was my darling's 67th birthday. Yesterday at work a my dear coworker Tobben showed me the website of artist Brandon Bird, who seems to have quite an admiration for my Chris. One of my favorite pages is Letters to Walken, as per Brandon's site:
While Artist-in-Residence at Cornell's arts dorm, I was expected to come up with
stimulating art-related programs for the students to participate in."Letters to
Walken" allowed them the chance to write their yearly Christmas letter to
Christopher Walken.

Amazing. Much love to my Chris and to Brandon.

P.s. When I see scared spelled "skard" all I can hear is Kathleen saying the word.

Mo Money Mo Problems in Graph Form

I am a big fan of Gaga Darling, I've followed her since she appeared on Thread Bangers and I agree with her that these Rap Graphs are (no serious) laugh out loud.
